Week 7: June 12 – 16
This week we learned the letter sound “B”, the color brown, more numbers, the order of colors in the rainbow, the concept of off and on, the concept of front and back, and Moses and the Plagues of Egypt.
On Monday, we reviewed letter “E” and also did a number 3 worksheet. Then Braydon did a test in Word Building (story sequencing), English (letter sounds and recognition), Social Studies, and math. He got 100% in everything! I’m especially proud about his math grade!!! Before the math test I told him to look me in the eye and to go slow so he doesn’t make mistakes. He took my advice and thought through every question before his marker touched the page. So proud!
Layla did “school”. She drew hair on these cartoon heads!
This beautiful creature got a marker this morning and colored stripes all over her body. We are two weeks away from her second birthday!
Gluing beans onto the letter B!
Coloring ONLY the pictures that begin with B.
This week was a little bit more stressful than usual because of our newest arrival who is just on week 2 of her life! BUT, we ended up finding a groove the last two days of school! Braydon is so patient and I’m thankful for his attitude towards myself and his sisters. So grace giving! We can all learn something from the children in our lives who are often the best forgivers!
Happy Homeschooling! And, remember! You can do this! You were called to this and the Lord will give you the skills needed to finish what He’s called you to!
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6 NLT
